- Starting Strong: The day has finally arrived and VAMPY 2018 has begun! Everything officially started Sunday with campers moving in to their dorms and checking in with counselors, although the real fun kicked off after everyone was settled in. - Candy is Dandy: During this June, National Candy Month, let’s look in the Manuscripts & Folklife Archives of WKU’s Department of Library Special Collections at an order placed in October 1847 by Bowling Green druggist Joseph Younglove to a New York manufacturer of sweets. More: WKU Libraries Blog
- Follow the Bike4Alz riders: WKU students are making the sixth Bike4Alz cross country ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. - Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- Retired WKU professor stranded in Vietnam in coma to return home: After a severe head injury left him comatose in Vietnam, retired WKU professor Edward Bohlander may be returning home as soon as this week. Bohlander’s wife, Crystal, learned Monday that she will likely be home with her husband within the week following an update from Allianz, the family’s travel insurance company. - WKU series branches out with community art project this fall: WKU is branching out with a community art project this fall involving artist Patrick Dougherty, who is known for his large-scale sculptures woven with tree saplings.
- Bell discusses latest book, the writing life: As a child growing up in Cincinnati, author and WKU faculty member David Bell thought all writers were like Ernest Hemingway, leading adventurous lives in exotic locales. The truth is that many, when not writing, “are driving their kids to soccer practice in a Toyota Camry,” Bell said.
