- 3 WKU students awarded Gilman International Scholarships: Three WKU students received Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships for fall and academic year study abroad. Katie Daniels of Glasgow, Kate Hart of Princeton and Tristan Shaw of Louisville were selected as Gilman Scholars and will receive up to $8,000 to fund their study abroad programs.
- WKU Theatre Students Accepted to WTF Apprentice Program: “Ever since I heard of Williamstown, I knew it was a place of concentrated creativity where ambition is encouraged. I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I’m hungry and this place feeds”, said WKU Theatre senior Conner Keef. This summer Conner, along with WKU Theatre alum Tyler Brown, will fulfill his dream of working with Williamstown Theatre Festival in their Apprentice Program.

- Follow the Bike4Alz riders: WKU students are making the sixth Bike4Alz cross country ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. - Tennis: Greg Davis Named Head Coach of Lady Toppers: Greg Davis will take the reins of the Lady Topper Tennis program as the eighth head coach in program history. Across his time as a collegiate head coach from 1999 through 2010, Davis earned a career record of 257-110 (.700).
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- Nobel physics prize winner to speak at WKU: A winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize in physics will headline an upcoming mathematics conference at WKU this summer.
- Kentucky Mesonet Develops App Useful to Farmers: Kentucky’s statewide weather and climate monitoring network now has an app that’s especially useful for farmers.
- Stansbury pushing tradition, facilities and impact in recruiting: On Monday, WKU’s Rick Stansbury joined The Chop Shop radio show on 102.5 FM, a station in Houston. The third-year WKU coach spoke on air at length about recruiting efforts when it comes to finding the next crop of great Hilltoppers.
