- Hidden battles: Endowment established to support wellness initiatives and reduce stigma surrounding mental health: A newly established endowment will support initiatives for student-athletes through education on mental, physical and emotional health and wellness. Hoping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, the endowment is named in honor of Andrea Marie Hall, a beloved daughter, sister and friend who passed away on July 30, 2014. A 2005 graduate of Greenwood High School, Andrea Hall went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from WKU in 2009.

- WKU Student Priority Registration for Stickwork Project: Attention WKU students, if you’re interested in volunteering to assist with Stickwork at WKU, featuring artist Patrick Dougherty, priority registration is open through Aug. 1. Volunteer slots are limited; students can call (270) 745-2594 to reserve a volunteer slot but must confirm their reservation in person at the Kentucky Museum by Aug. 30. - Football: WKU Greater Louisville Alumni Chapter's Annual Kickoff Party Set for July 25: For the fifth-straight year, the WKU Greater Louisville Alumni Chapter will host their annual WKU Football Louisville Kickoff Party at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Shelbyville Road Plaza (4600 Shelbyville Road) on Wednesday, July 25. The event is set for a 6 p.m. ET start and will feature head coach Mike Sanford and select players from the greater Louisville area.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- Hilltoppers picked to finish fifth in Conference USA's East Division: WKU was picked to finish fifth in Conference USA's East Division in a poll voted on by the league's media members, CUSA announced Tuesday. The Hilltoppers went 6-7 last season, lost five of their final six and finished in a tie for third place in the East. Western won back-to-back league titles in 2015 and 2016.
