- Executive Committee for World Council for Gifted and Talented Children gathers at WKU: Members of the Executive Committee (EC) for the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children met on the campus of WKU July 15-17. This committee draws its members from all parts of the world, with those in attendance coming from such diverse locations as Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Turkey, Hong Kong and the United States.
- View from the Hill: President Caboni tours region: When WKU President Timothy C. Caboni took over more than a year ago, he said he wanted to visit each of the 27 counties in WKU’s service area. He has spent the summer doing just that as WKU's Amy Bingham explains in the View from the Hill.
- WKU Police Chief receives Department of Defense/ESGR Patriot Award: WKU Police Chief Mitchell Walker received the Department of Defense/ESGR Patriot Award in appreciation for the outstanding support he has provided to WKUPD Officer Dwight C. Bushong who serves with the 1103rd Military Police Detachment of the Kentucky National Guard.
- Follow the Bike4Alz riders: WKU students are scheduled to complete the sixth Bike4Alz cross country ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s research on today (July 23) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. - WKU Student Priority Registration for Stickwork Project: Attention WKU students, if you’re interested in volunteering to assist with Stickwork at WKU, featuring artist Patrick Dougherty, priority registration is open through Aug. 1. Volunteer slots are limited; students can call (270) 745-2594 to reserve a volunteer slot but must confirm their reservation in person at the Kentucky Museum by Aug. 30. - Football: Mik'Quan Deane Lands on John Mackey Award Watch List: WKU Football senior tight end Mik'Quan Deane has been named to the 2018 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List, the committee announced Friday morning. Deane returns as the Hilltoppers' top receiving tight end, catching 11 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown last season.
- Baseball: WKU to Host 3rd Annual Golf Tournament, 1st Alumni Game: WKU Baseball head coach John Pawlowski would like to invite alumni, friends, fans and their families to the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament at Crosswinds Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 29. There will be prizes and great food at the event, with all proceeds benefiting the Hilltopper Baseball program. More: Baseball to Host Labor Day Prospect Camp on Sept. 2
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- Donations accepted for scholarship dedicated to late WKU professor: Family and friends of retired WKU professor Edward Bohlander, who passed away this month in Vietnam, remember him as a man with a passion for his profession. Now, a new scholarship in Bohlander’s name will support students long after his death.
- KBA WKU Radio Talent Institute Starts Today At WKU: Kentucky Broadcasters Association Pres./CEO Chris Winkle and Partner in WCYN Broadcasting/Cynthiana, welcomes students to today’s 6th annual KBA WKU Radio Talent Institute at WKU.
