- Bike4Alz riders complete trip: WKU students completed the sixth Bike4Alz cross country ride to raise money for Alzheimer’s research Monday afternoon in Virginia Beach, Virginia. For updates on social media, follow Bike4Alz on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
- WKU Student Priority Registration for Stickwork Project: Attention WKU students, if you’re interested in volunteering to assist with Stickwork at WKU, featuring artist Patrick Dougherty, priority registration is open through Aug. 1. Volunteer slots are limited; students can call (270) 745-2594 to reserve a volunteer slot but must confirm their reservation in person at the Kentucky Museum by Aug. 30. The Stickwork Project will be conducted Oct. 1-19. For details, visit www.wku.edu/grow/stickwork

- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- Nature photography collection gifted to WKU: Brazil. Spain. California. Idaho. Portugal. Kentucky. He wandered the world to document nature’s beauty, and now the world can see what he saw. The family of international travel writer and photographer W. Ray Scott recently donated his collection of 20,000 photographs to WKU’s Department of Library Special Collections.
- Stuff the Bus awards local student with scholarship: Over the weekend, one graduate of Warren East High School received the $1,000 Stuff the Bus scholarship. Sydney Hawthorne was given the check with her family surrounding her at Bluegrass Cellular. Hawthorne credits her late grandfather as inspiration for her work ethic and commitment to her education. Her grandfather was a bus driver and her direct line to Stuff the Bus. Hawthorne is planning to attend WKU.
