- WKU shakes up M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan 'for a new generation of Hilltoppers': M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan, WKU’s transition program for all new undergraduate students, is shaking things up for about 2,300 members of the Class of 2022 who will arrive on campus next month. Entering its 26th year, M.A.S.T.E.R. (Making Academic and Social Transitions Educationally Rewarding) Plan is adjusting its schedule, educational programming and activities in an effort to improve student success and retention. - Annual WKU PBS Pool Party set for Aug. 5: Get ready for the end of summer WKU PBS Pool Party being held at the Russell Sims Aquatic Center at Preston Miller Park in Bowling Green noon-5 p.m. Aug. 5.
- WKU Student Priority Registration for Stickwork Project: Attention WKU students, if you’re interested in volunteering to assist with Stickwork at WKU, featuring artist Patrick Dougherty, priority registration is open through Aug. 1. Volunteer slots are limited; students can call (270) 745-2594 to reserve a volunteer slot but must confirm their reservation in person at the Kentucky Museum by Aug. 30. The Stickwork Project will be conducted Oct. 1-19. For details, visit www.wku.edu/grow/stickwork
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Football: Julien Lewis Earns Spot on Wuerffel Trophy Watch List: WKU Football senior defensive lineman Julien Lewis has been named to the 2018 Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, it was announced Thursday morning. The Wuerffel Trophy is "College Football's Premier Award for Community Service" and is awarded to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
- Track & Field: McIntyre, Seged Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors: Hilltopper Track & Field student-athletes Morgan McIntyre and Maor Seged have been recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic performers for the 2017-18 school year, the organization announced Thursday.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and each day this summer, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football, from never-before-seen photos to game tickets and programs and everything in between.

- WKU, city schools partner for new math camp: Students flew paper helicopters, programmed a robot and perfected 3D-printed designs Wednesday at a new math camp for elementary students in the Bowling Green Independent School District.
- WKU visits for Louisville Kickoff Party: WKU football head coach Mike Sanford and a few area players were in town on Wednesday night for the annual WKU Louisville Kickoff Party.
