WKU in the News
- Metts takes unique path to Hilltopper head coaching post: Chan Metts was a juvenile probation officer in his native Georgia with the itch to coach college golf.
- Full offseason under Woods paying dividends for WKU's offensive line: Gunner Britton (6-6, 295) and Mason Brooks (6-6, 275) are a pair of youngsters hoping to crack the two-deep on WKU’s offensive line, a thin and relatively inexperienced group. At the start of fall camp just 13 players were working with first-year OL coach TJ Woods during positional drills. Woods has an O-line group that is senior-less. The Hilltoppers hope that the perils of a youth movement can be overshadowed by the coaching of Woods, a former Oregon State, Wisconsin and Utah State assistant brought in to help retool a front that has seen better days.
