WKU Volleyball has been picked as the Conference USA preseason favorite while senior Rachel Anderson was named the league's Preseason Player of the Year.

- WKU Nursing Students Successfully Participated in VESNIP: The Vanderbilt Experience Student Nurse Internship Program (VESNIP) was successfully completed by 10 WKU nursing students this 2018 summer term with WKU faculty Dr. Audrey Cornell and Vanderbilt staff. WKU is one of only five schools invited to participate in the VESNIP opportunity.
- August Parking and Transit Update: 2018-2019 permits are being honored in all lots. From Aug. 13 through Aug. 21, parking zones will be enforced as follows -- All Faculty/Staff zones (FS1 – FS3) will be enforced; meters, disability parking and safety violations will be enforced; Commuter zones (C1, C2, C3, and C4) and AP Zones are free and open to the public with no permit required. Beginning Aug. 22, all Housing zones (H1 – H9) will be enforced. New 2018-2019 permits must be displayed and vehicles must be parked in the correct zones. Full transit service and parking zone enforcement resumes Aug. 27.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Volleyball: WKU Picked to Five-Peat By League Coaches; Anderson Named C-USA Preseason Player of the Year: For the fourth-consecutive season, WKU Volleyball has been picked as the Conference USA preseason favorites while senior Rachel Anderson was named the league's Preseason Player of the Year. Anderson marks the third-straight Lady Topper to be recognized with the preseason honor following Jessica Lucas (2016) and Alyssa Cavanaugh (2017).
- Soccer: WKU to Host Saint Louis, Belmont in Preseason Exhibitions: WKU is set to close out its preseason exhibition schedule with two matches at the WKU Soccer Complex this weekend, welcoming Saint Louis on Friday evening before taking on Belmont on Sunday. Both matches are slated for first kick at 6 p.m.
- Football: Although Small in Numbers, Seniors Proving Large as Leaders: Of the 100-plus student-athletes on the WKU Football roster, only 10 are seniors. Although small in numbers, they are proving large as leaders and mentors as the Hilltoppers continue their work during Fall Camp. The group of 10 represents the fourth-fewest among FBS teams, but as head coach Mike Sanford said on WKU's Media Day a week ago, he would not change one thing.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football.
- Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.

- WKU Football: Eckels ready to exceed expectations: Since joining the NCAA D-1A FBS, WKU Football has become known for its ability to air it out. Former quarterbacks like Brandon Doughty and Mike White were arguably the most prolific passers in program history. But now it's time for a new man to take over the role of the most important position on a football team. That man is redshirt-senior Drew Eckels.
