WKU in the News
- Kentucky Climate Center at WKU developing drought warning system with $200,000 grant: A new $200,000 grant will allow the Kentucky Climate Center at WKU to develop a statewide drought warning system that could avert economic disaster for farmers.
- Sanford plans to play plenty of freshmen in '18: WKU’s football program is not short on talent. The roster is littered with young men once considered three-star prospects as seniors in high school – one even sported a four-star ranking next to his prep profile. The caveat that comes with that talent, however, is most of it is inexperienced. So plenty of mistakes can be expected when the Hilltoppers go between the lines – not only during fall camp – but when the season kicks off Aug. 31 in Madison, Wisconsin. - WKU volleyball showcases new team, holds open scrimmage: After a stellar 2017 season that resulted in 31 wins, a Conference USA regular-season and tournament championship, and first round win in the NCAA Tournament, WKU has been picked to win a fifth straight CUSA title. In the E.A. Diddle Arena auxiliary gym after Saturday's fan fest event, WKU coach Travis Hudson and the Lady Toppers held a scrimmage to give fans an early look at this year's team.
