WKU in the News
- WKU Volleyball heads into new season with same expectations: A new season of Lady Topper Volleyball brings with it the same expectations they've had the past four seasons--win the Conference USA regular season and conference tournament titles. WKU has been selected as the preseason favorites to win their fifth consecutive championship, but the players aren't too worried about the outside noise right now.
- Freshman LaFrance gives WKU a flash out of the backfield: Recruiting can often times be a luck-filled business. Luck, of course, includes equal parts preparation and opportunity. And there’s a little bit of all those elements when speaking about Garland LaFrance being a Hilltopper. Because not too many football players from New Orleans – especially ones as good as LaFrance – leave the bayou for WKU.
- Run, Forrest Lamp! Run! Chargers hope offensive lineman returns with same explosiveness before surgery: Forrest Lamp burst out of a three-point stance, swung his massive right forearm and jammed his left fist into the chest of a defender and maintained his block a few yards down the line, one of several individual drills the Chargers offensive lineman participated in during Monday’s practice in Costa Mesa. It had been a year since Lamp practiced with the team, a year since he took even a hint of contact, a year since right-knee surgery deprived him of his rookie NFL season, yet it all felt so familiar, so natural to the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder.
