- WKU Admissions planning student recruitment events: WKU’s Office of Admissions is planning several events this fall for prospective students and their families.
- 10 new members elected to WKU Young Alumni Council: The WKU Young Alumni Council (YAC) recently added 10 new members to serve for three years in collaboration with the WKU Alumni Association. Composed of alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years, YAC members maintain ties with their alma mater, provide important feedback to the WKU Alumni Association for programming, and advance and support the general welfare of WKU through programs and scholarships.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Volleyball: WKU Set to Debut 2018 Squad Against No. 5 Kentucky in Preseason Exhibition: To kick off the 2018 volleyball campaign, head coach Travis Hudson and the Conference USA-favorite Lady Toppers will host their first-ever preseason exhibition match with No. 5-ranked Kentucky coming to The Hill this evening. Action from Diddle Arena will commence at 5 p.m. CT and marks the only exhibition on deck for either squad.
- Football: WKU to Scrimmage at Barren County High School on Saturday: WKU Football is hitting the road this week as the 2018 Hilltoppers will host an open scrimmage in Glasgow at Barren County High School on Saturday at 6 p.m. The WKU Alumni Association is also hosting a Hilltopper Back to School Social around the scrimmage beginning at 5 p.m. inside the Barren County Career and Technical Education Center. Appetizers, door prizes, and plenty of Big Red spirit will be provided.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football. More: Clear Bag Policy
- Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.

- President Caboni discusses his plans for year two on the Hill: Next Monday, Aug. 20, freshmen will be arriving in Bowling Green and moving into their dorms as they embark on their first year at WKU. As for WKU President Timothy C. Caboni, he's gearing up for his second year in charge at WKU.
- Eli Brown adjusting to life as a Hilltopper: Eli Brown is in his third week playing football for WKU. He’s only got about 2 1/2 weeks left before jogging onto the field at Camp Randall Stadium with his new teammates to face No. 7 Wisconsin. That will be quite the culmination in a summer of change for the junior linebacker.
