Welcome to WKU's Class of 2022! Mahurin Honors College students arrive on campus this weekend followed by M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan participants on Monday and Tuesday.

- WKU & SKYCTC announce engineering pathway agreement: Graduates from Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College will seamlessly transfer to WKU to complete their engineering degrees under an agreement between the two institutions.
- M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Mentors will share experience, excitement with Class of 2022: WKU senior Shelby Cable has experienced M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan as a first-time student and as a resident assistant for Housing and Residence Life, but she’s looking forward to a new experience next week as a leader for the M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Mentor program. - Red & White Football Scrimmage at Barren County: WKU Football will hold a Red & White Scrimmage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 18) at the new Barren County Trojan football stadium. Representatives from WKU Admissions, Glasgow Campus, Alumni and the WKU Store will have information and giveaways.
- Parking Advisory: Minton Lot Reserved: The Minton Lot will be reserved for Honors student move-in beginning at 4:30 p.m. today (Aug. 17) through noon Saturday (Aug. 18). No vehicles will be permitted to enter Minton Lot after noon today and the lot must be cleared by 4:30 p.m. (Note: Several lots will be reserved Monday and Tuesday for M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan move-in.)
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Volleyball: Lady Toppers Wrap Up Exhibition Against No. 5 Kentucky: In the inaugural volleyball exhibition match hosted in Diddle Arena, WKU got its first taste of action in the 2018 campaign as No. 5-ranked Kentucky came to town. Both Bluegrass programs went deep into their benches to take advantage of the live match setting.
- Soccer: WKU Opens 2018 Regular Season at Murray State, Ole Miss: WKU Soccer is set to kick off its 2018 regular season campaign on this afternoon at 3 as the Lady Toppers travel to Murray State before a 6 p.m. swing on Sunday to Oxford, Miss., to battle SEC foe Ole Miss.
- Athletics: Lucas, McIntyre Named C-USA Scholar Athletes: Former WKU student-athletes Jessica Lucas and Morgan McIntyre have been named the Conference USA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in volleyball and women's track & field, respectively. Both Lady Toppers left an impact on The Hill through their contributions in the community, classroom and competition. Collectively, Lucas and McIntyre combined for 12 Conference USA Championships during their careers at WKU. More: WKU Athletics 2017-18 Annual Report
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football. More: Clear Bag Policy
- Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.

- WKU receives grant for drought early warning system: The Kentucky Climate Center at WKU received a two-year $200,000 grant to develop the Kentucky Drought Early Warning System.
- WKU grad student conducts research at Hidden River Cave: While Hart County Jail inmates were helping to carry large sections of steel into Hidden River Cave for the assembly of the world's largest swinging bridge this week, WKU graduate student Cesalea Osborne was conducting research inside the cave.
- Patience key for Thomas, WKU's quarterback of the future: Kevaris Thomas knows he may be thrown into the deep end this season, his first as a college football quarterback. But he also knows he might not see the field at all. “I just want to improve right now because I know that I gotta lot to learn and there’s people ahead of me,” the 18-year-old said. “I feel like if I did get a chance to play it would be limited. I feel like I need a lot more improvement.”
