- Guthrie announces grant for project at Kentucky Museum: Congressman Brett Guthrie announced Tuesday that the National Endowment for the Humanities is awarding $50,000 to the Sustainable Environment Planning Project at the Kentucky Museum.
- 'Words I Never Heard': WKU graduate to present Mary E. Hensley Lecture Sept. 25: The Mary E. Hensley Lecture Series, hosted by WKU’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, will present "Words I Never Heard" by Lynnie Vessels on Sept. 25. Vessels, a 1981 WKU graduate, is author of "To Soften the Blow."

- Men’s basketball: Coleby Inks First Professional Contract in Belgium: Former WKU Hilltopper Basketball forward Dwight Coleby is headed overseas with the rest of his outgoing senior teammates after signing his first professional contract with Liege Basket in Belgium.
- Football: Countdown to Kickoff – 100 Days of Hilltopper History: WKU Football will kick off its 100th season on August 31, and WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique and interesting history of Hilltopper Football. More: Clear Bag Policy
- Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season. More: Vote for All-Century Team.

- WKU students move in this week: As he helped unload the family car and move his freshman daughter into Bemis Lawrence Hall on Monday, it was hard for Ronny Spinks II to say goodbye.
- Eckels, WKU offense gearing up for the great challenge that is the Wisconsin defense: It’s been eight years since WKU has opened the season against a ranked opponent. Usually, instead, the Hilltoppers meet, say, an Alabama in Week Two or a Louisiana State in late October. Not since Sept. 4, 2010 when it opened at No. 8 Nebraska has WKU had to spend its entire offseason answering what’s-it-gonna-be-like questions about its opening opponent.
- Former Hilltopper WR Taywan Taylor expecting big things in 2nd season with Titans: Taywan Taylor is one of the best wide receivers to ever don a Hilltopper football uniform. After being drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2017, Taylor struggled in his first season in the NFL. Now in year two, things are looking like they're about to change for the former Top.
