WKU in the News
- Local businesses excited for return of WKU students: Next Monday, students will swarm WKU’s campus once again. However, during summer break local businesses feel the impact of students being gone. That's why when they return for classes, the owner's excitement returns as well.
- Running back McClendon took unlikely path to joining the WKU football program: Remember the scene in Major League? The one where Willie Mays Hayes comes out of nowhere to earn a spot on the team because of his blazing speed? Well, that’s sort of, kind of, a little bit like KeShawn McLendon’s tale. McClendon is a redshirt-freshman running back on WKU’s football team. But he didn’t get there like many of his teammates – starring through high school, recruited for years, signing scholarship papers in a faux ceremony in a high school auditorium. No, McClendon simply ran. Ran really, really fast.
