- Ogden College Hall design earns international recognition: The “Science on Display” design of WKU’s Ogden College Hall has earned international recognition in the Shaw Contract Design Awards program. The WKU project, designed by RossTarrant Architects, won the program’s Higher Education Category award as well as the People’s Choice Award. The 2018 Shaw Contract Design Awards program received more than 500 entries from 36 countries.
- WKU Art Gallery presents 'Re- Formed' by Liz Chagnon through Oct. 3: Re- Formed, an exhibition curated by Art History alum Liz Chagnon, kicks off the Fall 2018 semester at the WKU Art Gallery with an exploration of both the literal and conceptual fragment.
- Kentucky Museum to Host Hammer-In, Celebrating the Metal Workers’ Trade: On Oct. 6 the grounds of the Kentucky Museum will be home to Hammer-In, an annual event celebrating the Metal Workers’ Trade. This community event as well as admission to the Kentucky Museum are free of charge.
- College of Health and Human Annual Report: Check out the 2017-2018 annual report from WKU’s College of Health and Human Services.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Soccer: Big Offensive Night Leads WKU Past Kentucky Christian, 9-0: Seven different Lady Toppers found the back of the net, four of whom tallied their first career goals, and WKU outshot Kentucky Christian 37-0 in a 9-0 victory at the WKU Soccer Complex on Monday evening. Next: WKU will remain on the road for more than a month, with five straight matches away from home. The Lady Toppers will take on Vanderbilt in their next time out on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. before beginning C-USA play at Southern Miss at 1 p.m. on Sept. 16.
- Football: All-Century Team to Reunite, Host Meet-and-Greet Prior to Saturday's Home Opener: Nearly all of the available members of WKU Football's All-Century team, which was selected this summer, will reunite this weekend on The Hill ahead of Saturday's home opener. - Volleyball: WKU Headed Home Following 1-2 Weekend in St. Louis: After opening the Marcia E. Hamilton Classic with a sweep of Saint Louis, WKU Volleyball came up short on Saturday, dropping decisions to [RV] Marquette (3-0) and Kansas State (3-1) to close out the weekend. The Lady Toppers fell below .500 to 3-4 as they head back to The Hill for a nine-game home stand. Next: WKU vs. Chattanooga at 11 a.m. Friday.
- Cross Country: Distance Squads Kick Off 2018 Slate at Belmont Opener: WKU Cross Country kicked off the 2018 season with a fifth place finish by the Hilltoppers and a seventh place outing by the Lady Toppers at the Belmont Opener in Nashville, Tenn. Seven of the Red and White's 10 competitors at the outing were making their debut for WKU.
- Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season. More: Vote for All-Century Team.

- Hilltoppers encouraged by O-line's play in loss: WKU broke in an entirely new offensive line Friday night in a hostile atmosphere at Camp Randall Stadium. The Hilltopper offense managed only three points in a 34-3 loss at No. 4 Wisconsin. But coach Mike Sanford said he was leaving Madison feeling good about his five men up front.

- WKU alumnus named to Savoy magazine’s “Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” list: George Nichols III, a WKU graduate and member of the Board of Regents, was chosen by Savoy as one of their 2018 recipients of the “Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” designation. The selection committee choses candidates based on their professional and community involvement including: corporate sector influence, scholastic achievement, career growth, community outreach and recognition. Nichols is no stranger to this honor though, as he was recognized in 2012 too.
