• WKU Week in Photos: Sept. 2-8, 2018: The latest installment of WKU Week in Photos by Clinton Lewis, Bryan Lemon and Bob Skipper of WKU Public Affairs includes the concert by Cage the Elephant and other pregame activities, the opening of a new exhibit at the Kentucky Museum, the Alpha Kappa Alpha yard show, White Squirrel Weather's new mobile unit, the Society of 1906/Cupola Society Brunch and more.
• Ribbon cutting today for Center for Applied Science in Health and Aging: WKU’s College of Health and Human Services will celebrate the opening of it second student-centered, applied research center, the Center for Applied Science in Health and Aging (CASHA), with a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. today at the WKU Center for Research Development, 2413 Nashville Road.
• WKU wins Cheese Clash: Wisconsin may have won the football game two weeks ago, but WKU won the Cheese Clash. WKU was asked by the University of Wisconsin to send cheese for a blind taste test before the WKU/Wisconsin football game. WKU's Hilltopper Creamery sent three cheeses: smoked sharp cheddar, Gouda and Colby. We won two of the three categories, smoked sharp cheddar and Colby! Hats off to Gary Beu and the students at Hilltopper Creamery!!! GO TOPS!!!! Visit the Creamery to order yours today!
• WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

• Men’s basketball: WKU Announces All-Century Team: After weeks of voting, WKU Hilltopper Basketball announced its All-Century Team on Monday in honor of the program's upcoming 100th season. The 15-player All-Century squad, a prestigious list comprised of some of the best to ever compete on the hardwood for the Hilltoppers, is led by head coach E.A. Diddle.
• Volleyball: Anderson, Isenbarger Earn Conference USA Weekly Awards: Conference USA has announced that WKU Volleyball's Rachel Anderson and Katie Isenbarger have been named the league's Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively. The weekly recognitions are the first for any Lady Toppers this season after the team posted a perfect 3-0 weekend to win its own Holiday Inn-University Plaza Invitational.
• Football: Monday Press Conference: Check out remarks from Coach Mike Sanford and Defensive Coordinator Clayton White.
• Baseball: Toppers Travel to Louisville on Saturday for Scrimmage, Tailgate: WKU Baseball travels up I-65 to Louisville this weekend, as the Hilltoppers and Cardinals will play a scrimmage on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. Admission into Jim Patterson Stadium will be free to catch the first fall action for the 2018-19 Hilltoppers. In addition, the WKU Alumni Association is hosting a tailgate on the third base side of the field from 3:30-6:30 p.m. ET in conjunction with WKU Football's game later that evening against Louisville. On the gridiron, the Hilltoppers and Cardinals will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
• Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100^th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.

• WKU Opens New Center on Aging that Combines Many Areas of Expertise: WKU is launching a new center focusing on the health and wellness of the growing demographic of older adults in the state and the nation. The new Bowling Green facility opens today. The Center for Applied Science in Health and Aging combines several research specialties, including exercise, communication and psychology.  The center will expand current projects that take a holistic approach to the issues facing older Kentuckians.
• Former WKU All-American ‘overwhelmed’ with support after leukemia diagnosis: Alyssa Cavanaugh went to a local hospital to be examined for a kidney infection, but ended up staying the night, trying to keep her family calm as she was trying to stay strong herself and not to fear the worst. The next morning, she found out she had leukemia. What happened after that was something Cavanaugh, the former All-American outside hitter at WKU, never anticipated. “I was so overwhelmed with happiness and love,” she told NCAA.com. “I just felt so blessed to be in touch.”
• Eckels a game-time decision as WKU preps for Louisville: WKU quarterback Drew Eckels may or may not make his third career start at 6:30 p.m. CDT Saturday when the Hilltoppers face Louisville. Even if the senior does give it a go there’s a chance his play will be limited.
