• WKU honors more than 200 donors for consecutive years of giving and legacy gifts: At a brunch held Saturday at the Augenstein Alumni Center, more than 200 donors were recognized for their years of consecutive giving and legacy gifts. The Society of 1906 recognizes and honors individuals who have chosen to leave a legacy gift in support of WKU. The Cupola Society exists to recognize long-term donors, no matter the size of the gift, and to bring distinction to those individuals who support WKU through sustained annual giving.
• WKU graduate in top five on ‘MasterChef’: WKU alum Gerron Hurt has reached the top five in this season of MasterChef. Hurt graduated from the College of Education & Behavioral Sciences and teaches 12th grade English at Lead Academy in Nashville, Tenn. You can watch him in the next episode of MasterChef on Fox tonight at 7 CT.
• Campus message from President Caboni: With the fall semester fully underway, I want to thank each of you for your tremendous efforts in achieving a smooth beginning for our students and the entire campus community.
• Center for Citizenship & Social Justice Updates: Wishing a warm welcome back to WKU from the staff of the Center for Citizenship & Social Justice (CCSJ)! This year we will see some exciting changes to the Center. We have moved our location, so we are now at the top of the Hill in the Diversity & Community Studies house. We are a new and proud member of the Potter College of Arts & Letters (PCAL) and look forward to working closely with the various departments, faculty, staff, and students of PCAL.
• Traffic Advisory: Bus Traffic Today on Avenue of Champions: There will be increased traffic and bus congestion on Avenue of Champions near Diddle Arena today.  Numerous school buses will be dropping off and picking up passengers for the Bowling Green Regional College Fair. Expect minor traffic delays.
• Documentary photographer Stephanie Sinclair to speak at WKU tonight: Internationally acclaimed documentary photographer Stephanie Sinclair will be presenting her work tonight at WKU. Her lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Jody Richards Hall auditorium.
• What’s Happening at WKU: Check on a listing of WKU events through Sept. 29.
• WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. • Football: Practice Report: WKU Football finished up practice on a picture-perfect Tuesday evening as the Hilltoppers prepare for this Saturday's game against in-state rival Louisville. Kick off at Cardinal Stadium will be 6:30 p.m. CT.
• Football: Pro Hilltoppers in the NFL, Week 1 Update: Eight former Hilltoppers are currently signed with NFL teams, check out what they did during Week 1.
• Men’s basketball: 2018-19 Preseason Prospectus: Check out the 2018-19 Hilltopper Basketball preseason prospectus.
• Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100^th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.

WKU in the News

• WKU opens new research facility: A new research center at WKU's College of Health and Human Services officially opened its doors Tuesday. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the Center for Applied Science in Health and Aging.
• Here's how Kentucky universities fared in new Best Colleges rankings: U.S. News & World Report just released its 2019 Best Colleges rankings, which compare Kentucky universities to other schools across the nation using a variety of metrics and are a popular reference point for prospective students.
• Former WKU professor, Civil Rights Advocate passes away: Former WKU professor and Civil Rights movement activist Alan Anderson has passed away after a long battle with heart disease.
• WKU-Louisville series dates back to 1922: For a long time, WKU and Louisville could call themselves rivals. But most recently the two programs have been strangers. That changes at 6:30 p.m. CDT Saturday inside Cardinal Stadium where the Hilltoppers and Cardinals will face each other for the first time in 20 years.
