• Mexican journalist to receive Award for Courageous International Reporting tonight: WKU's School of Journalism & Broadcasting will welcome Mexican journalist Marcela Turati to campus tonight (Sept. 27) as the recipient of the third annual Fleischaker/Greene Award for Courageous International Reporting.
• Area 4th-graders to attend 23rd Progressive Agriculture Safety Days® event today: About 700 fourth-graders from Warren, Allen and Edmonson counties will participate in the 23rd annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Days® program today (Sept. 27) at WKU’s L.D. Brown Agricultural Exposition Center.
• WKU's 2018 Parent & Family Weekend Friday and Saturday: WKU’s annual Parent & Family Weekend begins on Friday and continues with a full day of activities on Saturday. The WKU Family of the Year will be recognized during Saturday night’s WKU vs. Marshall football game. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
• Parking Lot & Road Closings for WKU vs. Marshall: On Saturday (Sept. 29), the WKU Hilltoppers will host Marshall with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.  Several parking lots will be reserved for event parking and road closures will occur before game time. • Political Science Podcast: Episode 2 of the PoliSci Podcast is available as Dr. Timothy Rich joins Dr. Joel Turner to discuss North and South Korea.

• Volleyball: WKU Headed to Hattiesburg for C-USA Road Tilt: After playing its last nine matches at home, WKU Volleyball hits the road tonight at Southern Miss. The Lady Toppers enter the contest with an 11-5 overall record and a 2-0 reading in Conference USA action. The Golden Eagles own a 7-8 record (1-1 C-USA) heading into the matchup.
• Women’s golf: Joiner Wins Second Straight C-USA Golfer of the Week Award: The hardware just keeps coming for Mary Joiner. After winning her second tournament in as many tries to start the season, the WKU junior was again named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday. Next: WKU is back in action at Kentucky's Betty Lou Evans Invitational on Oct. 5-7 in Lexington.
• Football: Practice Report: WKU Football closed out practice on Wednesday evening, looking to keep the momentum going as the Hilltoppers return home to face Marshall on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Houchens-Smith Stadium.
• Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100^th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.
