- Topper Tank Winners Announced: WKU’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has announced the winners of the Fall 2018 Topper Tank Elevator Pitch Competition. Top finishers were: Lauren Hayden, first; Jacob Stevenson, second; Eugene Haskamp, third (tie); and Alex Woodward, Derek Akridge and Stephen Bain, third (tie).
- Political Science Podcast: Episode 3 of the PoliSci Podcast is available as Dr. Scott Lasely joins Dr. Joel Turner to discuss the upcoming midterm elections.
- Field trip to Felts House: Students from Hart County came to visit the Felts House, and learn about what life was like for children their age in the early 19th century. In order to make sure the children had a great experience, WKU museum student docents dressed in 1810 style clothing, and led the children in several hands-on activities.
- Appointments open for annual WKU vs. MTSU Blood Drive: WKU and Middle Tennessee State University will continue their annual blood drive competition this year to collect donations for the American Red Cross. In Bowling Green, campus and community members can schedule appointments to donate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 29-31 at the Preston Health and Activities Center. - WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Football: Four Hilltoppers Honored for Performances vs. Herd: Following Saturday night's game against Marshall, three WKU Football players were listed on the PFF College Conference USA Team of the Week, and tight end Mik'Quan Deane was named a John Mackey Award Honorable Mention Tight End of the Week.
- Men’s basketball: Hilltoppers to Host Pro Day on October 11: WKU Hilltopper Basketball will host a Pro Day to showcase its players for NBA scouts at 2:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Oct. 11 at E.A. Diddle Arena, head coach Rick Stansbury announced Wednesday. Scouts from all NBA teams and media are welcome to attend the Pro Day, which will be a credentialed event and is closed to the general public.
- Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season.

- Attorney General visits WKU; helps raise domestic violence awareness: For the third year in a row, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear took the podium in Centennial Mall to speak on several topics. One in particular, domestic violence.
