• Congressman, lieutenant governor to participate in WKU Veterans Day ceremony: WKU will observe Veterans Day at 11 a.m. Nov. 9 with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Guthrie Bell Tower followed by the ROTC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The Veterans Day ceremony will include the unveiling of a new panel on the Guthrie Bell Tower in honor of the 100th anniversary of the WKU ROTC Program, as well as feature remarks from U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie, Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton and WKU President Timothy C. Caboni.
• Super Saturdays Explores Codes & Ciphers: Our world is surrounded and built by codes. From giving computers directions (binary code) to communicating with others (Braille) to protecting secrets of the past (enigma machine), codes and ciphers matter.
• WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. • Women’s basketball: Lady Toppers Kick Off 2018-19 Season with Exhibition Against West Virginia State: Lady Topper Basketball will begin a new era on this evening at 6, taking the court for the first time under Head Coach Greg Collins after he previously spent six years on the bench as an assistant coach; WKU is set to battle West Virginia State in its lone exhibition matchup of the season. Admission for all fans for tonight’s game will be free, and parking for the game will be free in both Parking Structures 1 and 2 next to E.A. Diddle Arena. Season tickets for all ticket holders have been mailed and should be received shortly.
• Women’s golf: Clarke Earns C-USA Golfer of the Week Honors after Little Rock Win: After winning her first career tournament, WKU Lady Topper Golf's Megan Clarke was named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday. The sophomore Clarke took medalist honors Tuesday at the Little Rock Golf Classic with a career-low, 4-under 212 (72-67-73) total.
• Football: WKU Seniors Looking Ahead to Rivalry Game at MTSU: WKU Football wrapped up practice Wednesday evening as the Hilltoppers prepare for a Friday, Nov. 2 game against Conference USA opponent Middle Tennessee. Kick off at Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium is set for 7:00 p.m. CT and will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.
• Athletics: Bone Marrow Registry Event Scheduled to Find Donor for Alyssa Cavanaugh: As former Lady Topper Volleyball All-American Alyssa Cavanaugh continues her battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), WKU Athletics has teamed up with Be The Match and the Cavanaugh family to host a Bone Marrow Donor registry event tonight through Sunday at Diddle Arena to find a donor for Alyssa.
• Men’s basketball: Countdown to Tipoff - 100 Days of Hilltopper Basketball History: The 100^th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball will tip off in November. WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball leading up to the start of the 2018-19 season. More: 2018-19 Media Guide.

• $250,000 gift will support WKU's Center for Leadership Excellence: A $250,000 gift to WKU’s Center for Leadership Excellence will support the center’s outreach efforts and the development of a new generation of leaders on the Hill.
• 'First Year Village' to become reality on WKU campus in fall 2020: Future WKU students have something to look forward to! Two new residence halls are set to break ground in the upcoming months.  The 'First Year Village', an idea by WKU President, Dr. Timothy Caboni, is set to become a reality in the fall of 2020.
