- Science in Action: WKU Biology Professors and Students Helping People on the Other Side of the Globe: What do hypertension, invasive plant species and elephants have in common? They’re each the focus of ongoing research in Africa, led by three WKU biology professors: Nancy Rice, Michael Stokes and Bruce Schulte. More than 8,000 miles from WKU’s Bowling Green campus in Kasigau, Kenya, and South Africa, the research happens throughout the year in villages, on farms and in private nature reserves.
- WKU Veterans Day ceremony this morning: WKU will observe Veterans Day at 11 a.m. today (Nov. 9) with a wreath-laying ceremony and unveiling of a new panel on the Guthrie Bell Tower in honor of the 100th anniversary of the WKU ROTC Program followed by the ROTC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. - View from the Hill: Longtime McLean County doctor establishes scholarship at WKU: A longtime doctor in McLean County may have hung up his stethoscope but the WKU alum is still finding a way to give back. WKU's Amy Bingham has more on a new scholarship in the View from the Hill.
- PS2 reserved today for Head for The Hill: Parking Structure 2 will be reserved today (Nov. 9) for Head for The Hill, an Admissions campus open house event. - Volleyball: Four Lady Toppers Strike for Double-Digit Kills to Spoil Blazers' Senior Night: Four Lady Toppers finished with double-digit kills as WKU Volleyball spoiled UAB's Senior Night with a four-set win Thursday evening in Birmingham. Rachel Anderson led the way with 15 strikes while Lauren Matthews (14), Kayland Jackson (11) and Sophia Cerino (10) all reached double figures as well. Next: WKU at Louisiana Tech at noon Saturday.
- Women’s basketball: WKU Heads West for Road Matchup at Oklahoma Tonight: For the first time in the 2018-19 season, WKU is set to go on the road to battle with Oklahoma this evening at 7 inside the Lloyd Noble Center. Tonight’s matchup will be carried on Fox Sports Southwest and the Sooner Sports Network, with a free live WKU radio stream also available on C-USA TV.
- Men’s basketball: Tops to Compete in 2019 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam: WKU Hilltopper Basketball will compete next season in the 2019 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, the event announced Thursday. The Hilltoppers will be a part of the 20th annual event, which takes place Nov. 22-25, 2019, at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. WKU is joined in the field by Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Fordham, Grand Canyon, Illinois State, Nevada and Valparaiso. Next: WKU vs. UT Martin at 6 p.m. Saturday.
- Football: WKU at FAU on Saturday afternoon: WKU travels to defending C-USA champion Florida Atlantic on Saturday for a showdown at FAU Stadium. Game time is set for 4 p.m. CT on Stadium (Facebook only).
- Baseball: Countdown to First Pitch - 100 Days of Hilltopper History: As WKU prepares for the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Baseball, leading up to First Pitch at Nick Denes Field on February 15, 2019.

- WKU's Preston Center set for a third phase of renovations: The Preston Health and Activities Center at WKU was constructed back in 1992. Eighteen years later, a second phase of renovations was completed in 2010 to include much more modern features and amenities for students to utilize. Now, the university's intramural sports department has announced new plans in place for a third phase of renovations to take place.
