Students honored at 2018 Kentucky Academy of Science meeting

WKU hosted the 2018 Kentucky Academy of Science meeting Nov. 2-3.
WKU and Gatton Academy students were honored for their research presentations at the Kentucky Academy of Science meeting Nov. 2-3.
Students recognized at the group’s 104th annual meeting, which was held at WKU’s Downing Student Union, included the following:
Botany
- Poster Presentation: first, Wendy Cecil, a Chemistry major from Bardstown
Cellular and Molecular Biology
- Poster Presentation: first, Meg Dillingham, a Biochemistry major from Bowling Green; third, Matthew Knerr, a Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science student from Paducah
Chemistry – Analytical/Physical
- Poster Presentation: third, Elizabeth Hedrick, a Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science student from Louisville
Chemistry – Organic/Inorganic
- Poster Presentation: second, Shino Sleeper, a Biology major from Alvaton; third, Seth Klaine, a Biology/Chemistry major from Bowling Green
Computer and Information Science
- Poster Presentation: third, Richard Pike, a Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science student from Hodgenville
