• Nancy Hall Duncan selected for Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame: Nancy Hall Duncan has been selected for the Governor Louie B. Nunn Kentucky Teacher Hall of Fame. The 2019 induction ceremony is scheduled for March 13 at the State Capitol in Frankfort.
• Hardin Planetarium to present winter holiday show Nov. 25-Dec. 10: The long cold winter nights of December are well suited for celebrations. Join the Hardin Planetarium Nov. 25-Dec. 30 for a show that illuminates the meaning of the winter solstice, shares some history behind holiday customs and suggests possible explanations of the Christmas star.
• Christmas In Kentucky at Kentucky Museum: The Kentucky Museum will host its 12^th annual holiday event Christmas in Kentucky on Dec. 1. This free, family-oriented event has become a holiday tradition with many area residents.
• What’s Happening at WKU: Check out a list of events through Dec. 1.
• WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. • Women’s basketball: Lady Toppers Fall to Hot-Shooting Iowa, 104-67: Lady Topper Basketball returned home for its second bout with a rank opponent as #13/17 Iowa visited The Hill Tuesday night. Despite four Lady Toppers scoring in double figures, the Red and White fell to the Hawkeyes 104-67 to move to 0-3 on the year. Iowa shot lights out from the field, connecting on 68.9 percent of their shots across the evening. Next: WKU at Central Michigan at noon Saturday.
• Football: Practice Report: WKU Football concluded practice Tuesday evening as the Hilltoppers are set to face the UTEP Miners in their last home game of the season Saturday at Houchens-Smith Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT with the game broadcast on beIN Sports. With this Saturday's game being Senior Night, there will be 10 Hilltoppers who will play in their final game on Feix Field.
• Volleyball: Sophia Cerino Named to C-USA All-Academic Team: WKU Volleyball junior Sophia Cerino has been recognized as one of 11 student-athletes named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday. Honorees were selected based on a combination of their academic and athletic achievements.
• Baseball: Countdown to First Pitch - 100 Days of Hilltopper History: As WKU prepares for the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Baseball, leading up to First Pitch at Nick Denes Field on February 15, 2019.

• Calhoun couple create WKU scholarship for area students: Hugh Wilhite has always wanted to do something for WKU because of how much the school gave to him, so the retired Calhoun doctor and his wife, Debby, have established a scholarship for students earning health care-related degrees.
• WKU Volleyball coach willing to pay semester tuition for bone marrow donor: It's a desperate plea from a man desperate to find an answer for a former player. "If any student on this campus ends up being Alyssa's match, I'm going to pick up a semesters tuition for them," said WKU Volleyball coach Travis Hudson. Hudson's former player, a 2017 graduate of WKU and four-time All-American, Alyssa Cavanaugh, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on Sept. 5, 2018.
