Partial Government Shutdown & Federal Grants

- Thursday, January 3rd, 2019
According to governing.com "A number of discretionary programs are continuing operations during the government shutdown because of previously passed measures that cover a full year of funding. That means programs funded through the departments of Defense, Education, Health and Human Services, Labor, and Veterans Affairs should not be affected by this round of government shutdown. Therefore, programs like the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program or Head Start preschool -- which have ran out of funds in previous shutdowns -- will be able to stay open. "
However there may be impacts to the grantee organization depending upon the funds received. More information can be found on the White House Office of Management and Budget website.
