A new pedestrian crosswalk has been installed on Normal Street near the University Boulevard Lot.

2018 one of wettest years on record in Kentucky: The final results are in: 2018 was one of the wettest years on record in Kentucky and throughout much of the Midwest. Stations comprising the Kentucky Mesonet at WKU, the state’s official source of climatological observations, reported a statewide average of 63.08 inches of precipitation for the year.
Campus traffic advisory -- New crosswalk: A new crosswalk has been installed at the Normal Street bus stop near University Boulevard Lot. Pedestrians can activate the caution lights and utilize the crosswalk to safely cross.
Winter Term Intersession Parking and Transit Changes: Here’s a reminder from WKU Parking & Transportation that intersession services are in effect during the Winter Term through Jan. 19. More: Winter Term parking map
WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. Baseball: Countdown to First Pitch - 100 Days of Hilltopper History: As WKU prepares for the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Baseball, leading up to First Pitch at Nick Denes Field on February 15.

Badges of Honor: OHS principal overcame many obstacles to become a role model: While some people try to hide the past, John DeLacey looks for opportunities to share his with students and staff at Owensboro High School, where he works as principal. As a kid, his road to success was paved with obstacles -- just like the ones many OHS students face. While in college, he worked up to 50 hours a week during summers to pay for tuition and books. During the academic year, he worked two jobs and drove from Owensboro to WKU three days a week because he couldn't afford to live on campus.
E’town woman vies for Miss Kentucky title: Tara Curry, 22, a full-time student at WKU who hasn’t competed in a pageant since she was 6 years old, will represent Elizabethtown on Jan. 26 in Miss Kentucky USA in Lexington.
Kentucky Museum receives grant that will fund new exhibit: On the campus of WKU, the Kentucky Museum has received yet another grant, this one known as the Kentucky Local Trust Fund, which will be used to create a new exhibit that will be introduced next year.
