- WKU Winter Weather Update for Jan. 30: All campuses closed: All WKU campuses are closed today (Jan. 30) because of the predicted cold weather and wind chills. Check out a list of essential services that remain open. Update: All WKU campuses will operate on regular schedule on Thursday (Jan. 31).
- WKU hosting preview days in February for Class of 2023: WKU’s academic colleges will be hosting preview days in February for admitted students in the Class of 2023. During the events, students and their families can learn more about campus life, academic programs, research opportunities, student organizations and more.
- Anthropology Faculty Member Wins Photo Contest: Dr. Ashley Stinnett, assistant professor of Anthropology in the Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology, was one of 12 to win the 2018 American Anthropological Association Photo Image Contest. Her photograph titled “In Focus” is featured in the “The Year in Anthropology” 2019 calendar.
- What’s Happening at WKU: Check out a list of events through Feb. 16.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Men’s basketball: Hilltoppers Designate UTEP Game for Block Cancer Event: The Mike Slive Foundation is partnering with Conference USA on the Block Cancer initiative throughout the month of February to raise awareness for prostate cancer, with each C-USA school choosing one conference game as its Block Cancer event. WKU Hilltopper Basketball designated the conference game against UTEP at 6 p.m. CT Saturday as its Block Cancer event.
- Baseball: Countdown to First Pitch - 100 Days of Hilltopper History: As WKU prepares for the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Baseball, leading up to First Pitch at Nick Denes Field on February 15. More: Fan voting open for All Century Team.

- Gatton Academy student recognized as national science scholar: A Gatton Academy for math and science student, Sydney Wheeler, was named a 2019 Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar. She joins the ranks of trailblazers before her, who have, after earning that recognition moved on to earn Nobel prizes, National Medals of Science and MacArthur Foundation fellowships.
