Twenty-two WKU students are vying for the 2019 Coming Home King. The king will be crowned Saturday (Feb. 16) during halftime of Hilltopper Basketball’s game versus UAB. Tipoff is 2 p.m. at Diddle Arena.

Candidates will participate in numerous activities this week including a service outing at Rich Pond Elementary School on Tuesday (Feb. 12), an interview on Wednesday (Feb. 13) and a banquet on Saturday (Feb. 16). WKU students will cast their votes for the Coming Home King on Tuesday (Feb. 12) via TopNet.

The 2019 Coming Home King Candidates are:

• Jake Amettis of Louisville, the son of Barry and Nancy Amettis. He is a History and Social Studies major and is sponsored by Sigma Nu.
• Jeremy Ashworth of Bardstown, the son of Jason and Andrea Greer. He is an Economics major and is sponsored by FarmHouse.
• Cameron Brooks of Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Carmen Shropshire. He is a Broadcasting major and is sponsored by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
• Wood Brown of Princeton, the son of Will Brown and Jami Elam. He is a History and Economics major and is sponsored by Kappa Delta and Pi Kappa Delta.
• Payton Carver of Slaughters, the son of Jonathan and Kathy Carver. He is an Accounting major and is sponsored by Baptist Campus Ministry.
• Jacob Cash of Spring Hill, Tennessee, the son of Greg and Lanie Cash. He is a Health Care Administration major and is sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta.
• Thomas Deaton of Elizabethtown, the son of Glenn and Ange Denton. He is an English-Professional Writing major and is sponsored by Phi Gamma Delta.
• Juan Dozier of Elizabethtown, the son of Juan Dozier Sr. and Renee Dozier. He is a Strategic Marketing major and is sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta.
• Damien Duncan of Hardinsburg, the son of James Duncan Jr. and Dana Mucker. He is a Recreational Sports and Administration major and is sponsored by National Pan-Hellenic Council.
• Kyle Fourtenbary of Opelika, Alabama, the son of Bobby and Pam Fourtenbary. He is a Business Management major and is sponsored by Chi Omega.
• Lucas Hackmann of O’Fallon, Illinois, the son of Mark and JoEllen Hackmann. He is a Health Care Administration major and is sponsored by Student Alumni Ambassadors.
• Jacob Hayslip of Louisville, the son of Donovan and Maryann Hayslip. He is a Mathematics, Spanish and Secondary Education major and is sponsored by Omega Phi Alpha.
• James Hill of Franklin, the son of Mike and Laurie Hill. He is a Finance Business Data Analytics major and is sponsored by Type One Toppers College Diabetes and Delta Tau Delta Epsilon Xi.
• Ben Hopper of Paducah, the son of Amy and Terry Sullivan and Brad Braun. He is a Finance major and is sponsored by Phi Mu.
• Jeremy Latham of Paducah, the son of David and Laurie Latham. He is a Biochemistry major and is sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi.
• Jacob McAndrews of Villa Hills, the son of Craig and Brenda McAndrews. He is a Political Science and Economics major and is sponsored by Student Government Association.
• Juan Pinilla of Bowling Green, the son of Juan Carlos Pinilla and Claudia Manriquez. He is an International Business major and is sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon.
• Nikil Ravishankar of Bowling Green, the son of Muthu Ravishankar and Ravi Viswanathan. He is a Biology major and is sponsored by WKU Spirit Masters.
• Erik Roepke of Bowling Green, the son of Rick and Kathy Roepke. He is a Chemistry major and is sponsored by Panhellenic Association.
• Kyle Smith of Louisville, the son of Michael and Deanna Smith. He is a Nursing major and is sponsored by Phi Delta Theta and Alpha Delta Pi.
• Daniel Stapp of Louisville, the son of Charles and Lisa Stapp. He is a Nursing major and is sponsored by Honors Toppers.
