• IdeaFestival Bowling Green today at WKU: The sixth annual IdeaFestival Bowling Green will be held in Van Meter Auditorium and Downing Student Union today from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CST.  Hosted by The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU, this year’s festival will draw over 750 middle and high school students from 17 school districts in Kentucky and Tennessee. The morning speaker sessions and afternoon minds-on, hands-on activities will focus on the theme of “The Future Is Now.” More: Event traffic advisory
• 2 WKU faculty members join KYhirED Advisory Board: The South Central Workforce Development Board, on behalf of the KYhirED scholarship program, announced the addition of three KYhirED Advisory Board members: Dr. Sally Ray, Heather Rogers and Dr. Daniel Super.
• WKU senior reflects on State Department internship: WKU senior Noah A. Stevens of Elizabethtown recently completed the second portion of a two-year, fully-funded, paid internship with the U.S. Department of State through the prestigious U.S. Foreign Service Internship Program. “My internship was perfect in providing practical, professional experience to augment my WKU education,” said Stevens, a Mahurin Honors College student who is majoring in International Affairs, Arabic and Middle East Studies.
• RSA Graduate Assistant lands Nashville Predators Internship:  Colleen Coomes, a graduate assistant with the Recreation & Sport Administration program, will begin an internship with the Nashville Predators starting May 13. She will be assisting with the Guest Experience division and will help with all things pertaining to season ticket holders. She will also assist with many other events at Bridgestone Arena. • WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. • Baseball: WKU Announces All-Century Team: After weeks of voting, WKU Baseball announced its 22-member All-Century Team on Tuesday in honor of the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball this spring. More: 100 Days of Hilltopper History
• Football: WKU FCA Establishes Mitchell Henry Leadership Award: In remembrance of the life and legacy of former WKU tight end Mitchell Henry, the WKU chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has established the "Mitchell Henry Leadership Award," in conjunction with Henry's family and the Mitchell Henry Foundation.
• Men’s golf: Tops' Final Round Canceled in Mobile; Team, Easton Finish Third: Tuesday's final round of the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate was canceled because of inclement weather and poor playing conditions, leaving WKU Hilltopper Golf with a third-place team finish after two rounds. The Hilltoppers placed third behind No. 27 Louisville and No. 39 Florida State with a two-round tally of 563 (282-281), the program's best 36-hole score since spring 2005. It was also the fifth-best 36-hole score for WKU since 1980.
• Baseball: Countdown to First Pitch - 100 Days of Hilltopper History: As WKU prepares for the 100th Season of Hilltopper Baseball, WKU Athletics is treating fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Baseball, leading up to First Pitch at Nick Denes Field on February 15.

• WKU Habitat for Humanity chapter participates in special build for disabled veteran: Habitat for Humanity is an organization that builds affordable housing for those in need. As part of an affordable housing advocacy campaign, members of the organization will meet with Kentucky lawmakers on Thursday in Frankfort to discuss including a bill on affordable housing as part of the state’s budget next year. Before those meetings take place, though, the WKU Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter was involved with a build on Saturday morning.
