- WKU Board of Regents approves tuition, fees for 2019-20: The WKU Board of Regents on Friday approved tuition and mandatory fees for 2019-20.
- High school journalists honored at 39th annual ceremony: High school journalists from Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana were recognized during the 39th annual Mark of Excellence awards ceremony March 1 at WKU. Hosted by the School of Journalism & Broadcasting, the awards honor work produced by high school broadcast outlets and news publications. Students from 23 high school news outlets entered the 2019 contest.
- WKU students participating in Student Activities' alternative break trips: About 20 WKU students are participating this week in alternative spring break trips organized by the Department of Student Activities.
- Library Special Collections presents "Mary Todd Lincoln: First Lady of Controversy”: In honor of Women’s History Month, WKU’s Library Special Collections presents “Mary Todd Lincoln: First Lady of Controversy” at 3 p.m. March 17 in the Kentucky Building. Gwen Thompson, director of the Mary Todd Lincoln House, will be the guest speaker.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Men’s basketball: Hilltoppers' Hot Outside Shooting Sparks 76-71 Win Over Southern Miss: WKU Hilltopper Basketball made 11 3-pointers on Sunday, including 8 of 12 in the second half, to secure a 76-71 home victory over Southern Miss at E.A. Diddle Arena. Next: WKU (18-12 overall, 11-6 Conference USA) vs. UTSA at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
- Women’s golf: Lady Toppers Begin Florida Swing at UNF Collegiate: WKU Lady Topper Golf will spend the next couple of weeks in warmer Florida weather, starting this week at North Florida's UNF Collegiate. The Lady Toppers will be 1 of 17 programs competing in a large field at the par-72, 5,926-yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
- Men’s golf: Hilltoppers Continue Spring Slate at ECU Intercollegiate: WKU Hilltopper Golf has a quick turnaround back into competition this week at East Carolina's ECU Intercollegiate. The Hilltoppers will be 1 of 12 programs competing today and Tuesday at the par-72, 6,755-yard Brook Valley Country Club. Teams will play 36 holes Monday beginning at 6:30 a.m. CT, with the final round slated for Tuesday. More: Metts Inks Junior-College Transfer Jack Poole
- Women’s basketball: WKU Gets Win No. 1,000 in 71-66 Victory at North Texas: For the second straight game, WKU rallied from a halftime deficit and won in a thriller, taking down North Texas, 71-66, inside The Super Pit on Saturday evening for the 1,000th win in program history, becoming only the 11th NCAA Division I women's basketball program to accomplish that feat. Next: WKU vs. Middle Tennessee at 6 p.m. Thursday.
- Softball: Hilltopper Pitchers Dominate in Circle as Win Streak Grows to Eight: A combined one-hit shutout by Shelby Nunn and Kelsey Aikey was followed up with a career-high 17-strikeout gem off the arm of Kennedy Sullivan as WKU Softball picked up two more wins from the Samford Invitational. The day's first contest saw WKU win 4-0 over Jackson State (2-19) before the Hilltoppers took care of weekend host Samford (6-15), 8-1. Two wins extended the Red and White's win streak to eight straight while the squad improved to 13-2 on the 2019 campaign. Next: WKU will be back in action next weekend from Kennesaw, Ga., where the Hilltoppers will compete in the Bobbie Bailey Memorial Tournament.
- Baseball: Sanford Homers Twice in Losses to ULM, Tennessee: WKU Baseball fell twice on Saturday in the Cox Diamond Invitational, by a score of 4-3 to Louisiana Monroe in Game 1 and a 6-3 final in Game 2 against Tennessee in a scheduled seven-inning contest. Next: WKU at Eastern Kentucky at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
- Tennis: Lady Toppers Sweep UAPB for Two-Win Weekend: WKU Tennis recorded its second win on the weekend and the season after defeating University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 7-0 on Saturday evening. This match marks the first time the Lady Toppers swept an opponent 7-0 since sweeping Butler on March 18, 2017. Next: WKU (2-10, 0-2 Conference USA) will take on Wright State and Dayton next weekend.
- Football: Hilltoppers Add Quarterback Ty Storey to 2019 Roster: Head football coach Tyson Helton announced the addition of former Arkansas quarterback Ty Storey (Charleston, Ark.) to the Hilltopper football program on Friday. "We are excited to add Ty to our team," Helton said. "His experience as a starting quarterback in the Southeastern Conference adds a veteran presence to our roster, and we are looking forward to continuing his development at the position this upcoming season."

- WKU students teach young girls about science and engineering: Students at WKU are partnering with Lost River Cave Elementary school to teach young girls about science and engineering. The 6-week long program was launched by the WKU’s Girls in Science and Engineering club.

- WKU Alumni Association unveils Employer Wall of Honor: With 115,000 members of the WKU alumni family living all across the globe, Hilltoppers are finding career success in every state and in many countries around the world. To honor these degrees at work, the WKU Alumni Association created an Employer Wall on the second floor of the Augenstein Alumni Center with a display that features the logos of many key employers of WKU alumni.
