WKU fraternities and sororities celebrated the year of academic achievement, positive retention rates and graduation rates during the 42nd Annual Greek Academic Banquet on Wednesday (March 20) at the Knicely Conference Center.
Chapters were awarded for placing in the top 3 in grades for new members, members and combined GPAs and the top Greek academic individuals were awarded from the freshman to senior classes.
Among the notable academic achievements from the Greek system during the past year were:
- WKU sorority women were three-tenths above the All-Women’s Average and WKU fraternity men were two-tenths above the All-Men’s average.
- Fall to Spring retention among all Greeks was 94 percent.
- Based off the most recent graduation statistics, WKU sorority women graduate at a 16 percent higher rate than non-Greek women and WKU fraternity men graduate at a 12 percent higher rate than non-Greek men.
