Economics Honor Society to Initiate 17 Students

The WKU chapter of the Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) International Honor Society in Economics will initiate 17 students during its annual initiation banquet held on Friday, April 5 at the Knicely Conference Center.
These initiates join college students in 696 chapters across the world in recognition of scholastic attainment in economics. Students who are invited to membership in ODE must have completed 12 credit hours of economics courses, have attained a 3.0 GPA or better in those economics courses, and have an overall 3.0 GPA.
Andrew Tudor, Senior Program Manager for Enterprise Planning at the Tennessee Valley Authority, will be speaking at this event. Tudor was the first graduate of the Masters of Economics degree in from WKU.
“Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world’s largest academic honor societies,” said Dr. Alex Lebedinsky, Department of Economics Chair and Faculty Leader for ODE. “The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon are recognition of scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics; the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within colleges and universities, and among colleges and universities.”
