10 students attend 2019 ASSET Conference

WKU’s Department of Agriculture and Food Science hosted 10 students June 16-20 for the ASSET (Agriculture Students Striving for Effective Tomorrows) Conference.
The five-day conference is designed for students who have completed their junior year of high school and are interested in attending college and studying agriculture. The conference focuses on activities that consist of leadership, communication and social development and making the most of a college experience, and creates awareness of the opportunities within the agriculture industry.
ASSET participants included Jaycie Barger of Guston, Olivia Biggs of Garfield, Victoria Clan of Elizabethtown, Chesney Flynn of Hickory, Joshua Gammon of Harrodsburg, Mckenzie Gregory of Monticello, Hannah Priddy of Clarkson, Landon Rakes of Lebanon, Dillon Short of Glasgow and Claire Thomas of Elizabethtown.
