The Gatton Academy has named its new grand piano after Walker Rutledge in honor of his recent retirement from the WKU Department of English. Rutledge taught literacy courses to Gatton students at Harlaxton for six summers and began each day playing the piano for students. Dedicating the Gatton piano to Rutledge reflects his love of teaching, his dedication to Gatton students, and his appreciation for music.
