WKU to celebrate 2019 Parent & Family Weekend Sept. 27-29

WKU’s annual Parent & Family Weekend begins on Friday, Sept. 27, and continues with a full day of activities on Saturday, Sept. 28, and a farewell brunch on Sunday, Sept 29.

WKU will recognize the 2019 Family of the Year during Saturday night’s WKU vs. UAB Blazers game. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

Parent & Family Weekend begins with Friday evening’s Fall Colors concert by the WKU Symphony. Saturday’s events include Kentucky Museum’s 90’s Morning Party, the African American Museum, WKU Treasure Hunt, WKU Photo Scavenger Hunt, the Mahurin Honors College Brunch, WKU Student Publications Open House, WKU Alumni Association Tailgate and Celebrate, the Hilltopper Family Cookout and the Trinidad Tripoli Steel Band. WKU encourages parents and families to purchase their event and Hilltopper Family Cookout tickets in advance to ensure a quick check-in on Friday (4:30-8 p.m.) or Saturday (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) on the second floor of the Downing Student Union. Register online by 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
