WKU investigating unauthorized access of computer system

On Jan. 23, 2020, WKU learned that an unauthorized person may have accessed a computer system in the University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. As soon as we became aware of this, we immediately took steps to secure the system and commenced an investigation to determine what happened. We have reported the incident to law enforcement and are working with the appropriate state authorities. Third-party computer security experts have also been engaged to assist our investigation. Due to the preliminary status of our investigation, we are unable to share any additional information at this time.
