WKU Art Alumni Exhibition Opens in FAC Galleries
- Thursday, January 30th, 2020
This week marks the beginning of a first-of-its-kind art exhibition for WKU. Through the hard work of WKU’s Art Gallery Manager, Victoria Layne, alumni of WKU’s art department have come together to show off their own unique pieces. With the goal of helping current art students develop a professional support network, the Art Alumni Exhibition features art installations across multiple mediums, bringing together the talents of 80 alumni, including Tom Pfannerstill, Metra Mitchell, and WKU faculty Kara Williams Glenn. The exhibit can be viewed in the Fine Arts Center’s Main and Hallway Galleries from now until the end of February.
To celebrate the talents of the featured artists, a Closing Reception will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Fine Arts Center Main Gallery, on the second floor from 2-5 p.m.
The exhibition open to the campus and community during the gallery’s open hours Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Information about the exhibition can be found athttps://www.facgalleries.org/exhibitions#/current-exhibitions/
