The Kentucky Museum is thrilled to announce its first Corporate Member, WNKY 40, an NBC/CBS-affiliated television station serving south central Kentucky.
WNKY 40 was recognized as a Corporate Member thanks to their long partnership with the Kentucky Museum, which has expanded in 2020 to include sponsorship of the Throwback Thursday program and a commercial about the Museum. For several years, WNKY 40 has provided the Museum with marketing services, primarily in conjunction with programs like the Hammer-In and Christmas in Kentucky.
“We are delighted to build on our partnership, and work with the incredible team at WNKY 40, many of whom are WKU graduates,” stated Tiffany Isselhardt, the Museum’s Development and Marketing Manager. “The opportunity to sponsor Throwback Thursday aligns perfectly with our mission of preserving South Central Kentucky’s heritage, and is opening up new ways for us to connect with our community. We are forever grateful for all that WNKY does to promote us and the unique arts and culture of our community, and grateful for this opportunity to recognize their work.”
WNKY 40’s membership has helped the Museum reach 20% of its corporate membership goal for the year. The new program, launched January 1, enables regional businesses to support community arts and culture while receiving exclusive benefits. For the Kentucky Museum, which relies entirely on private funding for its exhibits and programs, the support of area corporations is vital to continuing its mission as an applied learning venue and community resource.
