Due to the closing of public schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, WKU is allowing high school seniors to self-report their GPA to keep the admissions process on track.

The Department of Student Financial Assistance will use this information to issue estimated scholarship awards. 

Students admitted to WKU based upon a self-reported GPA must submit an official high school transcript by August 1st. Estimated scholarship offers up to that point will be confirmed or appropriately adjusted to reflect the award level for which the student qualifies based upon the updated transcript. Scholarships estimated upon a self-reported GPA will not disburse to the student account until an official transcript is received.

Also, WKU is expanding its transfer scholarship awards for students interested in completing their degrees at WKU.

Beginning with the fall 2020 semester, students who have earned at least 24 hours from a regionally accredited institution are eligible for scholarships of up to $4,000 per year based on their grade-point average. Students with a 3.8 GPA or higher will earn $4,000. Those with a 3.5 to 3.79 GPA will receive $3,000 and those with a 3.0 to 3.49 GPA will get $1,500.
