The Department of Political Science, WKU Young Democrats, WKU College Republicans, and The Political Engagement Project will be hosting two virtual events this week to celebrate the 233^rd Anniversary of the United States Constitution.  

On September 15th at 1:30 PM, Professor Jeff Budziak will host a virtual discussion on COVID-19 and the Constitution.  Professor Budziak will explore the role of the Supreme Court’s “shadow docket” that allows the Court to make preliminary decisions about urgent legal problems.  Among the topics he will examine are religious exercise and COVID restrictions, prison conditions and COVID, and election disputes resulting from adjustments made due to COVID.  Join the Zoom meeting at: COVID-19 and the Constitution (Meeting ID: 996 9768 0326, Passcode: 606262)

On September 17th (Constitution Day) at 11:00 AM, students will have a special opportunity to join a virtual student town hall webinar hosted by the National Constitution Center with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.
