Michael Adams Student Town Hall

As a lead up to National Voter Registration Day and Rock the Vote, the WKU community is invited to a Virtual Town Hall with Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams on Monday, September 21st at 3:30 pm CT. The town hall with Secretary Adams is presented by the WKU Political Engagement Project and the Department of Political Science. Secretary Adams was elected as Kentucky's 77th Secretary of State in 2019. Before serving as Secretary of State, he served as Counsel to the U.S. Deputy Attorney General during the George W. Bush administration and launch a private practice specializing in election law. He also served as a member of the Kentucky State Board of Elections. This Spring he worked with Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic to successfully hold Kentucky’s 2020 primary elections. He has continued to collaborate with the Governor to make adjustments for November’s elections.
In observance of National Voter Registration Day on September 22nd, The Political Engagement Project, the Department of Political Science, and WKU Young Democrats and College Republicans will be co-sponsoring Rock the Vote.
