ISEC planning events for October

The Cynthia and George Nichols III Intercultural Student Engagement Center will host the following events in October:
Career Ready: The event for ISEC Junior Scholars will begin at 5 p.m. Oct. 14 at Downing Student Union, room 3024. The goal of Career Ready is to encourage professional development through activities such as mock interviews, resume reviews and more as students begin preparing themselves professionally for after college.
It's the Resume for Me: The event for ISEC Sophomore Scholars will begin at 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at DSU, room 1037. The goal of It's the Resume for Me is to teach students how to properly construct a resume.
Hip Hop Monologues: The Why Knot Us Black Male Initiative will host Hip Hop Monologues at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 at DSU, room 3020. The event will deconstruct lyrics from past and present hip-hop artists and will include an interactive discussion about what those lyrics mean to us and for society.
Why Knot Us Black Male Initiative Induction Ceremony: The first initiates into the Why Knot Us Black Male Initiative will be inducted at 3 p.m. Oct. 25 in the DSU Auditorium. This first group will be referred to as the George Nichols Class of the Why Knot Us Black Male Initiative. The event will include a keynote speaker and a networking reception.
Note: All events follow Healthy on the Hill guidelines for masks and social distancing.
