WKU Forensics Team makes debate finals in Central Missouri tourney

The WKU Forensics Team reached the final round in Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the virtual Central Missouri University “Missouri Mule” Oct. 16-17.
At the “Mule,” WKU won debates against Illinois State University, Washburn University and the University of Kentucky. Senior Isaac Keller reached the final round and is the fifth WKU Debater to make the championship debate in as many competitions.
The team will compete this weekend at a Mid-America Forensics League tournament, hosted by the University of Northern Iowa.
Results from the Missouri Mule are as follows:
- Lincoln-Douglas Debate: Isaac Keller of Kansas City, Missouri, second; Madelynn Einhorn of Oakwood, Ohio, quarterfinals; Tess Welch of Houston, Texas, quarterfinals; Miles Morton of Los Angeles, California, octofinals.
- Lincoln-Douglas Debate Speaker: Tess Welch, fourth.
- Extemporaneous Speaking: Tess Welch, first.
