WKU Forensics Team wins virtual tourney hosted by Nebraska-Lincoln

The WKU Forensics Team placed first in sweepstakes at the Harvest Festival, a virtual tournament hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Nov. 7.
At the tournament, WKU placed ahead of Arizona State University, South Dakota State University and the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
The team will compete this weekend at two virtual tournaments: The Fall District VI National Qualifying Tournament and The Illinois State University “Redbird.”
Results from the Harvest Festival are as follows:
- After Dinner Speaking: Kelly Lingen of Lakeville, Minnesota, first.
- Dramatic Interpretation: Corey Newsome of Morehead, first.
- Extemporaneous Speaking: Madelynn Einhorn of Oakwood, Ohio, first.
- Impromptu Speaking: Andre Swai of Springfield, Missouri, fifth.
- Persuasive Speaking: Amanda Langford of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, first; Autumn Howard of Hendersonville, Tennessee, third.
- Poetry Interpretation: Stefani Giles of Hodgenville, first.
- Prose Interpretation: Kelly Lingen, third; Rashon Leday of Lafayette, Louisiana, fourth.
