Zena Pare Spotlight
- Wednesday, November 6th, 2019
"I look at Zena on October of this year and Zena on October of last year and I feel like I am a different person in my core. I constantly seek a deeper understanding of the things I am doing and awareness in the world. This past semester, all my friends on Semester at Sea, for the most part, were international which sparked a passion for foreign service. I'm trying to become more knowledgable and understanding of people and why they have certain opinions, beliefs or perspectives, and adding that to my view of the world."
Zena Pare is a sophomore from Alvaton, KY studying both Corporate & Organizational Communication and International Business-Global Trade & Economy with a minor in American Sign Language Studies. While a student, Zena has studied abroad on Semester at Sea and earned credit pursuing a summer internship (HON 275). She also currently serves as one of our HonorsToppers. Over the summer, she worked as the Communication Coordinator for the Governor's Scholars Program. This internship inspired Zena to pursue a career in communication. She values her internship experience for developing vital skills needed for achieving her big dream of uplifting women. Thank you for including us in your Big Dreams, Zena!
