Clay Simpson and Tyler Jury Spotlight
- Monday, November 4th, 2019
Honors alums, Clay Simpson and Tyler Jury (MHC ‘12), are the founders of the leather goods company, Clayton & Crume. Their story begins in their dorm room. From the idea that “all leather goods should last a lifetime,” the roommates set forth on a creative journey that would lead to the establishment of their Louisville business.
Clayton & Crume provides high quality, handcrafted leather goods. Recently, they opened a storefront in downtown Louisville that will continue to allow consumers to become a part of their story. Beyond that, Honors alum, Katie Ferriell Jury, was instrumental in the design of the new store (you may recognize some of her murals around the Honors College). Clayton & Crume also supports local non-profits in Louisville by offering on-site leather working activations, and by donating to neighborhood causes.
Our alums continue to impress us & we couldn’t be prouder. Keep up the good work!
