WKU’s Presidential Task Force on Naming and Symbols is seeking input from the community as it studies how names and symbols are used at the university.
The task force has published a website, https://www.wku.edu/naming-and-symbols/, which lists the task force’s charge and membership and also provides a form for comments.
“We have begun the process of researching those names and symbols used on our campuses, the context which led to their adoption, and how they fit within the University’s educational mission,” Task Force Co-Chair Saundra Ardrey said. “Now we are seeking the thoughts from our various communities as we seek to provide thoughtful and comprehensive recommendations that can provide WKU with guidance now and in the future.”
Comments should be submitted by March 1.
