Bradon Burks crowned WKU's 2021 Coming Home King

Bradon Burks (center) was crowned 2021 Coming Home King. Jashaun York (right) was first runner-up. Reed Breunig (left) was second runner-up.
Bradon Burks of Glasgow was crowned WKU’s 2021 Coming Home King on Wednesday (Feb. 24).
Burks, the son of Barbara Burks, Scott Burks and Kim Proffitt-Burks, is an Agriculture Education major and was sponsored by WKU Student Alumni Ambassadors. He was one of 22 candidates for Coming Home King.
First runner-up was Jashaun York of Covington. York, the son of John Lane and Michelle York, is a Criminology and Sociology major and was sponsored by National Pan-Hellenic Council.
Second runner-up was Reed Breunig of Springfield. Breunig, the son of Larry and Pam Breunig, is a Healthcare Administration major and was sponsored by Alpha Gamma Delta.
A video of the ceremony will be shown Monday afternoon during Hilltopper Basketball’s game against FIU.
The 2021 Coming Home King candidates included:
- Eric Barry of Louisville, the son of Patrick and Donna Barry. He is a Criminology and Sociology major and was sponsored by Chi Omega.
- Henry Delozier of Louisville, the son of Drew and Jennifer Delozier. He is a Business Data Analytics major and was sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon.
- Will Downing of Bowling Green, the son of Alex and Kelly Downing. He is an Elementary Education major and was sponsored by Phi Delta Theta.
- Garrett Edmonds of Island, the son of Robbie and Valarie Edmonds. He is a Political Science major and was sponsored by Student Government Association.
- Colton Fox of Kewaskum, Wisconsin, the son of Jason and Carmen Fox. He is a Molecular Biotechnology major and was sponsored by Sigma Nu and Delta Zeta.
- Nicholas Fuller of Louisville, the son of Brandie Blake. He is a Public Relations major and was sponsored by Sigma Kappa.
- Carlos Gomez of Bowling Green, the son of Armando and Claudia Gomez. He is an Electrical Engineering major and was sponsored by Phi Mu.
- Will Harris of Glasgow, the son of Mike and Krista Harris. He is a Corporate and Organizational Communication major and was sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi.
- Stephen Hillenmeyer of Villa Hills, the son of Paul and Mary Hillenmeyer. He is a Political Science and English major and was sponsored by Kappa Delta .
- Dawson McDaniel of Bowling Green, the son of Terry and Holli McDaniel. He is an Exercise Science major and was sponsored by Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
- Noah McGhee of New Castle, the son of Tony and Sandra McGhee. He is a Broadcasting major and was sponsored by Baptist Campus Ministry.
- Andrew Merritt of Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Tom and Amanda Cunningham. He is a Biology/Psychology major and was sponsored by HonorsToppers.
- Noah Moore of Fort Thomas, the son of Pat and Mary Moore. He is a Public Relations, Spanish and Arabic major and was sponsored by Alpha Xi Delta.
- Kody Okert of Hendersonville, Tennessee, the son of Danny and Faye Okert. He is a Corporate and Organizational Communication major and was sponsored by Kappa Sigma.
- Grant Smith of Louisville, the son of Theresa Smith. He is a Business Management major and was sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi.
- Caleb Tamminga of Glasgow, the son of Wayne and Tafa Tamminga. He is a Biochemistry/Psychological Sciences major and was sponsored by Spirit Masters.
- Will Tolley of Fredonia, the son of Jim and Meg Tolley. He is an Agriculture/Sales and Entrepreneurship major and was sponsored by Alpha Gamma Rho.
- David Weafer of Owensboro, the son of Mike and Sharon Weafer. He is a Psychology and Communication Studies major and was sponsored by Phi Gamma Delta.
- Jacob Young of Louisville, the son of Chris and Melissa Young. He is a Biochemistry/Psychological Sciences major and was sponsored by Delta Tau Delta.
