- Thursday, March 4th, 2021
Folk Studies graduate student Ellie Dassler was recently featured in the WKU News for her research associated with the capstone project she is completing as part of her program. Dassler, the graduate assistant for the Kentucky Folklife Program, is documenting how folklorists and culture workers are “navigating a world in crisis.” This includes responses to both COVID-19 and the systemic, racial, and economic inequities that have been exacerbated by the pandemic.
Dasslers shares, “I hope that these interviews I’ve been doing with folklorists will be useful to the field going forward as a record of this time and facilitate continued communication about what people are doing in different parts of the country.” To read the full article, click here.
