WKU has selected 15 students as recipients of the 2021-22 Cherry Presidential Scholarship, the school’s most prestigious academic award. 

The scholarship is valued at $16,000 annually and worth $64,000 during a four-year period.  The students were chosen from the group of applicants who were invited to interview and participate in a virtual event on March 18.

The 2021-22 Cherry Presidential Scholarship recipients are:

• Caitlyn Blandford of Owensboro, a senior at Apollo High School who plans to major in Civil Engineering.
• Camille Casey of Roselle, Illinois, a senior at Lake Park West High School who plans to major in Nursing.
• Madison Clark of Benton, a senior at Marshall County High School who plans to major in Business Economics.
• Robert Connor Flatt of Hendersonville, Tennessee, a senior at Merrol Hyde Magnet School who plans to major in Economics.
• Esther Gorecki of Lenox, Illinois, a senior at Lincoln-Way Community High School who plans to major in Nursing.
• Kaitlyn Gray of Versailles, a senior at Woodford County High School who plans to major in Biology.
• Lillian Groves of Bowling Green, a senior at Bowling Green High School who plans to major in Exercise Science.
• Victoria Iles of Morning View, a senior at Walton-Verona High School who plans to major in Exercise Science.
• Josie Ison of Walton, a senior at Walton-Verona High School who plans to major in Biochemistry.
• Shannon Maloney of Marietta, Georgia, a senior at George Walton Comp High School who plans to major in Dance.
• Nathan Meredith of Clarkson, a senior at Grayson County High School who plans to major in Biology.
• Evelyn Overstreet of Louisville, a senior at DuPont Manual Magnet High School who has undeclared a major.
• Mateus Rodriguez Vaz of Bowling Green, a senior at Greenwood High School who plans to major in Biology.
• Sydney Windhorst of Crestwood, a senior at Highlands Latin School who plans to major in Journalism.
• Sara-Kate Wiseman of Louisville, a senior at Male Traditional High School who plans to major in Music.
