Greetings Campus Community!

It’s beginning to look a lot like spring – this semester is rolling right along!

With the rise in violence against Asians and Asian-Americans (as well as other marginalized communities) in our country, it is important to reiterate that WKU strives to be an institution that is safe and welcoming to all. If you see something, say something - “Report it When You See it.” WKU now has an anonymous reporting portal for incidences by type. For the Bias Reporting Form, click HERE. 

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone each academic college and division/unit has representation on the University-Wide DEI Workgroup. The DEI Workgroup meets monthly to address problems/issues and craft solutions related to improving equity and inclusion on our WKU campus. Many of these issues are defined in colleges and units during their monthly DEI meetings. If you are interested in getting involved or have an issue you would like addressed, please reach out to your representative; click HERE for the list.

• Identifying and Illuminating Diversity and Inclusion in Your Course Syllabi
• A Conversation with Faculty Women of Color in Academia
• We have two more Deliberative Dialogues scheduled for this semester (see attached flyer). These dialogues were designed with student-faculty-staff interaction in mind. PLEASE SHARE WITH STUDENTS. The registration link with more information is HERE. Topics include:

• LGBTQ+ Safety, Security, and Policies
